Brown’s On Lonsdale
March 8th, 2009We usually get to downtown for having times together but last friday night was different. It was my cousin’s birthday and we decided to try a new place which was not in Vancouver. It was only 3 blocks away from our home and it is called “Brown’s”. It is located on lonsdale, on the corner of 18th.
Living in North Van for a while, haven’t been to this bar yet. The type of decoration is in a way that you basically won’t have a clue what is going on in this bar.
The atmosphere of the bar was great. You can not ignore people coming and joining their friends time by time into the bar. The theme of the bar was a mixture of red and black which makes it more sexy.
On the menu I’ve found some interesting meals as well, one of its greatest was a kind of Japanese cow meat that only served in some specific places in the world. The price of that was about 20 dollars.

Last night we were out for a dinner with my friends. First began searching the restaurants by the old fashion way of walking and going in, asking about the menu, watching for the atmoshphere, when they are closing and most importantly the waitreses. Our journey began from denman and georgia. You can basically find lots of place to dine in Demnam. After a walk in a cold breezy evening we end up walking in the Davie, where our attention caught by a huge lineup at front of Stepho’s restuarant.
You can find reviews about this restaurant here and here. Most of them making it an average restaurant but if you are looking for a good food with a great price, this is the place to go. You can find “Roast Lamb”, one of their best dishes (along with Kalamari, they wrote it this way in theri menu) for only 9.95. The one great dish that I bet you can not finish it unless you haven’t had food for a day.
After dinner you can enjoy great selection of wine and if you are more concerned about the money, you can find its coffee or tea for only 0.99 dollars. A great compliment to spend your time with your loved ones a little more in a causy atmosphere.

Vancouver Night Life

You can not find the night life that alive in Vancouver at first, every shopping malls are closing around 6 or 7, you only have the choice of resturant or bar to go to. There are some shops that are open and you might want to know where and till when. If you live by metrotown, the famous metrotown shopping mall is open till 9, so you can spend some time there, and if you are like me a non-vehicale owner you find that easy to get a skytrain and be in downtown by 9:30 at most. You can take a walk a little bit if the weather is good or you can enjoy passing through the pacific center mall. The one experience that you won’t forget as I am sure you gonna be lost a lot throug its passageways. Then you need to know which club has your type of music playing, there are a lot of clubs varying from salsa to house. The most clubs are at granville so you probably won’t get lost finding them.
